At the Eijerkamp-Paalman loft, things are going well, as evidenced by last week's impressive prize percentage of 85%.
To capture the success, Evert Jan travelled with the film crew to Laren to witness the arrival of the Eijerkamp-Paalman pigeons.
This turned out to be a wise decision, as reflected in the results above.

The first pigeon to arrive was NL22-8228948NL22-8228948 "Rexy", a daughter of NL19-1412810NL19-1412810 "Posseidon", which was bred from the super pair Vetblauwe Jackpot"Vetblauwe Jackpot" x Uniek"Uniek".

The second pigeon to arrive, 13 seconds after "Rexy," was 23-909976423-9099764 "Amber"
Her sire is NL19-1248569NL19-1248569 "Silver Dream Jr", directly from the Leideman brothers.

Weather Conditions
The race from Chalons en Champagne, France (389 km), was initially scheduled for Saturday but was postponed to Sunday due to rain in France. The wind was from the southwest, providing a tailwind and promising high speeds.
A total of 84 pigeons were entered in this race by the Eijerkamp-Paalman combination.
 
Race Day
On Sunday, under improved weather conditions, the pigeons were released. The tailwind from the southwest enabled the pigeons to achieve high speeds, making it an exhilarating race. Given the pigeons' excellent form in recent weeks, expectations were high.
 
Results
The race yielded a phenomenal result, with four pigeons arriving simultaneously. Out of the 84 pigeons entered, 52 (62%) made it into the results list, showcasing the exceptional performance of the team.
 
Provincial Results
The Eijerkamp-Paalman pigeons achieved outstanding placements provincially, competing against 11.002 pigeons: 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 23, 25, 44, 49, 50, 62, 76, 93, 132 etc

This race from Chalons en Champagne highlighted the superb conditioning and competitive edge of the Eijerkamp-Paalman pigeons. Despite the initial delay due to weather, the pigeons delivered an exceptional performance, cementing their status as top competitors.

On the national holiday in the Netherlands, the Eijerkamp-Paalman combination participated in the race from Tongeren over a distance of 168km.
There was a lot of cloud cover, and the wind was weak from the south (tailwind).
103 pigeons were basketed by caretaker Arnold.
The result was astounding, with 1^st place against 8,364 pigeons and 2^nd place against 25,303 pigeons in the department.

After a week of forced rest due to bad weather, the pigeons of Eijerkamp-Paalman returned to action today for a race from Châlons-en-Champagne over a distance of 389 km.
Because the weather along the flight path was still not ideal, the pigeons were only released at 12:45 pm.
The advantage for the pigeons was that they had the wind mostly in their favor.
We entered 88 pigeons, including brother and sister "Stan" and "Bo".
These two managed to arrive at exactly 17:11:16, nearly 9 minutes ahead of the other 86 pigeons.

They won 1^st and 2^nd against 5,260 pigeons and 13^th and 14^th provincial against 15,063 pigeons.

The father of these pigeons is NL21-1669034NL21-1669034 "Dynamic 034", a son of "Luka Modric" (1^st National Ace Young NPO in 2018) and grandson of Olympic Hans"Olympic Hans".

The mother is NL18-1274938NL18-1274938 "Miranda" from the Lady Di"Lady Di" line and Harry (J.Hooymans)"Harry (J.Hooymans)".

On May 4, 2024, the Eijerkamp-Paalmaan combination entered 100 pigeons on a race from Marche with over a distance of 231km.
The pigeons were released at 08:15 a.m. with a light southeast wind.
Last week, the pigeons already performed well from Tongeren, winning 1^st, 6^th, 8^th, 10^th, etc., against 8,364 pigeons and 2^nd against 25,303 pigeons in Department 9.
Therefore, expectations were high and rightly so, as it turned out after the results were calculated.

  SUPER PIGEON ARRIVALS AT EIJERKAMP PAALMAN

The train in Laren thundered through at express speed, and once again this past weekend, there was a bombardment of top pigeons, during which the southern region of Section 9 was completely overruled by the dominance of the Eijerkamp-Paalman combination. The pigeons were released in Marche (232 km) at 10 AM, and by 12:46 PM, the first two pigeons stormed onto the landing board with an average speed of 1,391 m/min. The results show positions 1 through 11, as well as 48 pigeons among the first 100 prize pigeons out of the 3,657 pigeons in competition. 

At the provincial level, there was only one pigeon faster (1,396 m/min), but the result was still phenomenal, starting with positions 2-3-4-5-9-10-12-13-14-15-16 etc. out of 9,820 pigeons, with 31 pigeons in the top 100!

The winner was a 2-year-old hen named 'Sofia,' who achieved her third provincial Top 10 finish with this performance.

This weekend, the Eijerkamp-Paalman combination had to split their racing team due to both a day-long distance race and a speed race. Such a scenario is always exciting as the number of pigeons per race is reduced, affecting the chances of top placements. However, given the pigeons' excellent performance in recent weeks, there was confidence heading into the races, and this confidence was well-founded. The wind was strong from the southwest, ensuring high speeds.

Speed Race from Charlevilles Meziere (297 km)

The speed race from Charlevilles Meziere (297 km) resulted in a remarkable series of prizes: 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 53rd, 56th, 57th, 84th, 87th, 97th, etc., against 4,004 pigeons, with a prize percentage of 81%.

The first pigeon was NL23-9099789NL23-9099789  "Wacko", a yearling cock bred from NL21-1669868NL21-1669868  "Ni Hao" x NL22-8459281NL22-8459281  "Hermien".

Father "Ni Hao" is a son of the top pair Viton"Viton" x Daughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs".

Mother "Hermien" is 100% from Willem de Bruijn and a half-sister of "Murphy’s Law".

This outstanding performance demonstrates the consistent quality and competitive edge of the Eijerkamp-Paalman pigeons, even when the racing team is split between multiple events.

The race from Charleville, France (297 km), took place under beautiful weather conditions. The wind varied from northeast to east over the Netherlands, adding a strategic element to the flight.

The pigeons were released under ideal weather, and the varying wind conditions provided a good test of their navigation skills. The Eijerkamp-Paalman pigeons were well-prepared and performed exceptionally well.
