40 pigeons in the first 100 against 5,685 pigeons from Kerkrade! This week, the wind conditions were a little more favorable for our racing team in Laren. As everyone involved in pigeon racing knows, we are always dependent on the weather and that is exactly what makes the sport so exciting and unpredictable. Fortunately, the pigeons were released right on time and all returned home quickly and in excellent condition. 

This marked the first official race of the season. As in previous years, we prefer to start calmly and build up step by step. At this stage, the most important goal is for the entire team to return home fast and complete and that is exactly what happened. We are therefore very satisfied with this opening race. The distance to Laren was 152 km, slightly farther than Brummen, which was 139 km. In Laren, our first four pigeons were clocked by Arnold just ahead of our first pigeon in Brummen, called 'Zoe Junior'. We are extremely proud that this direct son of Zoe"Zoe" led the team in the Brummen. 

We are proud to say that this weekend Eijerkamp-Paalman became "Grandmaster Ranking – Eastern Section". 

In Laren, it was a daughter of 'Quanto Jackpot' that took the lead, called Lady Quanto, followed closely by 'James Bor', son of Bor"Bor" and our former top racing hen Flamengo"Flamengo". These performances give us great confidence for the upcoming races this season.

The second race of the season turned out to be another great performanance for the Eijerkamp teams in which we won many topprizes starting in Section Middle with 4. prize against over 10,000 pigeons and 16 pigeons within the first 100 in the overall result.

The first pigeon and winning 4. prize against 10,627 pigeons, for Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp in Brummen,  is the blue hen NL25-1095787NL25-1095787 'Geeloger Lady Bor' who is bred from 'Murphy Geeloger', son Geeloger"Geeloger" x Lady Hawk"Lady Hawk" when paired to 'Solada' a priven daughter of top breeder Bor"Bor" when paired to Ratina"Ratina". The second pigeon winning 12. Heusden-Zolder against 10,627 pigeons is 'Givenchy', daughter for Mr. Expensive"Mr. Expensive" x Flush"Flush" and last week she already won 18. against 2,107 pigeons from the Kerkrade race and the third Eijerkamp pigeon listed is 'Arkadi', another grandchild of 'Geeloger' who is now winning 16. prize. 'Arkadi' was in 2025 already crowned 9. Prov. Ace pigeon with the youngsters in former Section 8 and he is bred from a direct Bakker cock when paired to 'Bonte Geeloger, a direct daughter of the Geeloger"Geeloger".

Zoe Junior winning 1st prize in Marche against 2,237 pigeons.

Last weekend was entirely dedicated to great performances and special moments at Greenfield Stud in Brummen. On Saturday, May 2, the pigeons were released in Marche at 07:50 AM. For the combination H. & E.J. Eijerkamp in Brummen, this meant a race distance of 214 kilometers, while the pigeons of Eijerkamp-Paalman in Laren had to cover 228 kilometers.

The pigeons showed their very best side and returned to the loft right on time, resulting in an exciting and successful race day.

What made this weekend extra special was the visit of Simon Wolf and his family. His presence added an extra dimension to these already successful days. Together, we enjoyed the sport, the performances of the pigeons, and the shared passion.

Again 'Zoe Junior' who led the team in Brummen just a few seconds before 'Next Geeloger NL25-1094907NL25-1094907'. Geeloger"Geeloger" offspring keeps dominanting in our racing team. 'Zoe Junior' is direct bred from Olympiade Stefaan"Olympiade Stefaan" X Zoe"Zoe"', both superpigeons in Brummen and the genes not far fallen from the tree so to say. Jacki Naomi arrived in 3rd place, granddaughter of Naomi"Naomi" and Vetblauwe Jackpot"Vetblauwe Jackpot".

In short, a weekend to look back on with great pleasure: strong races, excellent results, and great company. On to next week!

Our first Middle Distance race from the year was such a big pleasure for us with results like this:

Team H and EJ Eijerkamp: 1. 2. 3. 4. 6. 14. 19. etc. against 8.034 pigeons (total release).

Team Eijerkamp-Paalman, 9. 10. and 11. etc. against 8.034 pigeons.

Willems Murphy, Yearling grandson of our Geeloger and Murphy Law was winning the 1. Prize today from the total release. It was real pigeon weather with a blue sky and little headwind. How lovely our dear friends Willem de Bruijn and Geurt Doppenberg were waiting together with us (Michal, Hans and Evert-Jan in Brummen and Arnold in Laren) for our pigeons to arrive back from Dizy Le Gros. Also the parents of Michal came all the way from Polen to see him and watch his son have a very succesfull day today. Willems Murphy is totally bred with the lines of Willem de Bruijn, Murphys Law"Murphys Law" and Geeloger"Geeloger". The 2. Prize winner and 5. Prize winner were also 50% Willem de Bruijn, also from Murphys Law"Murphys Law" and Secretariat"Secretariat". The 2. Prize winner is again a grandson of our Viton"Viton" x Daughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs" We are very proud of our loft managers Michal and Arnold and thank you especially Willem for this lovely racing day.
