Vasili Slovenian Dream becomes 2. Ace Pigeon 3x500km AviRings Derby PRO Impressive Results 16. and 33. Place for Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp Avirings Derby PRO Final 3

On October 4, 2025, the third and final race of the AviRings One Loft Race Derby PRO (Final Race 3) was held. The pigeons were released at 7:50 AM, and Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp once again demonstrated their breeding strength.
In a demanding final of 501 km, the Eijerkamp loft secured:
  • 1. Final Race 1 (509 km) among 1,034 pigeons, flying 4 minutes ahead at a speed of 1223 m/min
  • 55. Final Race 2 (501 km) against 698 pigeons
  • 16. Final Race 3 (501 km) against 410 pigeons
With these exceptional performances, Vasili Slovenian Dream was crowned: 2. Ace Pigeon 3x500 AviRings Derby PRO 2025!
Given that the 2025 edition began with 2,450 pigeons, Vasili’s consistent excellence is especially impressive.
Vasili is bred from Eijerkamp’s top bloodlines: she is a granddaughter of Bert"Bert", and the distinguished Olympic Hans"Olympic Hans" also features in the maternal line, a demonstration of the deep and enduring quality in the Eijerkamp racing pigeons.

About AviRings Derby PRO
To better appreciate what this success means, here is a summary of how the AviRings Derby PRO is structured and what makes it challenging and prestigious:
  • The 2025 season includes nine total races (six preliminary distances + three final "500 km" races).
  • The first six races climb progressively in distance (from 110 km up to 405 km).
  • In 2025, Final Race 1 was 509 km (on September 13), Final Race 2 501 km (September 27), and Final Race 3 (October 4) 501 km
  • Ace Pigeon: This competition ranks pigeons based on performance across all races. Vasili Slovenian Dream's consistent high placement enabled her to secure 2. Ace Pigeon in 2025. 
  • 3×500 Cup: Instead of a single "grand final," AviRings uses a cumulative time approach: the pigeon that completes the three ~500 km finals in the lowest total time is considered the winner.
In summary, it is the most demanding One Loft Race in Europe with 3 times 500km. Finals over 21 days with cross and headwings and 9 races in total.
