Marinus is one of the older fanciers in Holten, a small village in the east of the Netherlands and he races in federation 2 within section 9. In 2021 he was gifted 2 youngsters from his club mate Eric Kuenen, NL21-1603107 and NL21-1603108, and these 2 youngsters became 7. and 8. Ace pigeon in CC2. He started the season of with 17 youngsters and because of these 2 nestmates he also achieved well in all different championships within his federation that started the races with over 3,100 youngsters from 89 different lofts.
